Committees The Chamber is essentially run by its members and board of directors who are professionals, local business owners, organizations and non-profit groups. Starting in February, committees will be starting up again here at the Chamber for 2013.   Some have been around and some are new. Here is a bit more information about a few of them:  Membership Committee: This committee will work to develop strong relationships with chamber and community members, to identify concerns or needs among the membership and to collectively find solutions to address those needs or concerns. This committee will also be responsible for Business After Fives and Ribbon cutting events and recruiting new members to the Chamber.  Events Committee:  The purpose of this committee will be to oversee and provide primary planning, development, planning and manpower support to the Chamber for major events. Events include Chamber Golf Outing, Annual Dinner, Off The Vine, Halloween Street Party, Miracle On Iowa Street.  Tourism & Marketing Committee:  This committee will work to establish advertising goals and ideas for the Chamber, develop creative ideas that will help promote tourism in the Dodgeville area and also oversee website development. This committee will also work with other events and organizations to find ways to promote the area further (ex: Dairyland Dare, Unnamed Epic, Fall Art Tour….) Finally, this committee will also work on the annual visitors guide.         We are looking for our members to be a part of these committees. Committees meet once a month for about 45 minutes. If one of them interests you and you would like to volunteer to help, that’s great. Or if you have questions and want more information, please don’t hesitate |
